Most of the businesses I’ve diagnosed have one major problem:
Positioning clarity.
They believe their product or service is “for everybody” and that anybody can buy it.
But that mindset usually weakens their marketing.
Because when your message tries to speak to everyone, it becomes too generic to connect deeply with anyone.
You’ll hear things like:
- “Our product is for all ages”
- “Anybody can use it”
- “We serve everyone”
Sounds broad.
But broad positioning creates weak communication.
The businesses that grow faster are usually very clear about:
- Who they serve
- What specific problem they solve
- What outcome they help people achieve
For example:
“We sell quality skincare products.”
…is weak positioning.
But:
“We help women with acne-prone skin get clearer skin without harsh chemicals.”
Now the customer instantly understands:
- This is for me
- This solves my problem
- This matches what I’m looking for
That clarity improves:
- Conversion
- Trust
- Customer retention
Many businesses don’t actually have a traffic problem.
They have a clarity problem.
Before spending more money on ads or content, ask:
- Who exactly is this for?
- What exact problem are we solving?
- Why should this customer care right now?
Because if your marketing is for everybody…
it eventually connects deeply with nobody.
